Located in Bridgehampton, this charming, tucked-away winery is a hidden treasure. If you’re a fan of establishments that are under-the-radar yet classy and cozy, is definitely the winery for you. Built on a gorgeous plot of land that is home to twenty-eight acres of vines, Channing Daughters offer a small and exclusive selection of six different locally-sourced vinos each day (try their orange wines and sparkling wines), which is just enough variety to choose from. Their wines are diverse and flavorful, and they pride themselves on their bold experimentation—some of their wines are filtered and fined, while some are wilder. Some wines are cultivated in stainless steel tanks, others in barrels. Most importantly, each grape that goes into their wines is hand-picked before being carefully juiced and fermented in small batches. It’s a wonderful collection of bottles, and each tasting is personalized. Channing Daughters is a quaint winery compared to the others, but if you have a big family gathering or large group event on the horizon, this winery can accommodate large parties. In September, they’ll show the entire winemaking process on full display.
